Michael Corbin is the Regional Head of the Southeast Market. He has over 19 years’ experience, including 6 years with Big 4, auditing and consulting with all levels of client management in the areas of financial, operational and compliance risk and control design.

Prior to joining Accume Partners, Mike held various positions in management, audit and consulting. He primarily worked with clients to develop opportunities to identify risk and strengthen controls throughout the organization in order to achieve management’s strategic objectives. Over the past 6 years, Michael has spent considerable time assisting organizations with their efforts to comply with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. He has directed numerous internal audits (operational, financial and compliance oriented) with organizations of varying size and industry.  Mike also participated in comprehensive business risk assessment engagements for a variety of organizations. The engagements typically identified risks at the process level and were used in the development of risk-based internal audit plans. He has also performed many Quality Assessment Reviews (QAR’s) of internal audit departments in accordance with Institute of Internal Auditor Standards.

A graduate of Wichita State University, Mike holds a B.S. in Business Management, and is also a Certified Internal Auditor and member of the Institute of Internal Auditors. He currently serves on the Board of Governors for the Atlanta Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
